SAMARCANDA.
January 2019.
Turin.
"SAMARCANDA" consists of my directorial debut. The project has been written in a context provided by Politecnico of Turin, "imposing" both a "Thriller" genre and a "10' lenght".
The plot revolves around Anastasia and her loss of total mental lucidity as a consequence of the abusive environment she was raised in, all feeling like a never-ending loop of violence.
Collaborating for the first time on a project, being involved in some of the writing aspects, with much less writing experience in respect to the one I now possess, I can nonetheless say I admire the work done. Sure, I see the "rough edges" clear as day, but even thought it has been four years since first taking part in the project, I still envy some of the decision that I, a newbie, instinctively took.
